Dominion Dealer Solutions (DDS), a division of Dominion Enterprises (www.drivedominion.com), is recruiting for a Product Manager to work with our Platform team.  The Product Manager – Platform position line plans, organizes, and controls the Platform product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.

Your Opportunity

 

  • Participate in and contribute to overall product line strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
  • Coordinate technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production
  • Manage day-to-day progress of product
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development
  • Manage marketing analysis to develop product definitions
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as product teams, sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product
  • Develop marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for product line.
  • Provide financial and technical justification for product selection and definition
  • Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market
  • Conduct market research and tracks market trends in the Automotive Retail industry
  • Produce competitive analysis materials comparing Platform products with key competitors
  • Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden company's product line
  • Participate in key sales situations for the product
  • Maintain communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line


Requirements

  • Experience with planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and (when necessary) disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and policy instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, internal customers, and external customers
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent; and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
